Balazs Kos (Founder and CEO)
Balazs Kos is the Founder and CEO of Blue Door Consulting. He uses his extensive international and European experience for the benefit of our partners both to advise them on building cooperation with EU institutions and to develop proposals and applications for direct EU calls. His main responsibilities include the overall management of the company and setting strategic directions.
He founded Blue Door Consulting in 2020 after working in the Cabinet of Commissioner Tibor Navracsics (Member of the European Commission responsible for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport) until the end of the Juncker Commission's mandate in November 2019.
Before joining the Cabinet in January 2016, he worked at the Directorate-General for Education and Culture, where he gained first-hand insight into the functioning of EU institutions. He first joined the European Commission as a Blue Book trainee in 2014.
Balazs Kos undertook his studies on the European Union at Maastricht University (in the Netherlands), the Brussels School of International Studies, as well as King’s College London.
Teo Nagy (EU expert)
Teo Nagy is an EU affairs expert at Blue Door Consulting, specializing in identifying funding opportunities and strategically aligning projects with EU priorities.
With expertise in Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, the European Regional Development Fund, and Creative Europe, he provides comprehensive support in financial planning, proposal writing, and budget structuring for proposals developed for direct EU funds.
His work extends beyond securing grants—he excels in consortium building, project management, and post-funding support, ensuring successful project execution and long-term impact. In his free time he reads books about history and politics. He speaks Hungarian, Slovak, Czech, English and German.
Jelena Grkovic is a Sales Assistant at Blue Door Consulting, responsible for supporting business development activities and fostering relationships with potential partners. Her role involves identifying innovative companies seeking EU funding, initiating outreach, and presenting Blue Door Consulting’s services to help clients secure direct EU grants.
With a background in commerce, trade, and marketing, Jelena leverages her communication and organizational skills to connect with companies across various industries. She collaborates closely with the team to understand clients’ projects, ensuring they align with suitable EU funding opportunities.
Outside of work, Jelena is passionate about sports, outdoor activities, and creative pursuits. She played ice hockey for 22 years, including 12 years with the Hungarian national team. She enjoys engaging in activities that challenge her both mentally and physically. She speaks Hungarian, Serbian, Croatian, English, and Spanish.
Klaudia Wiedermann (Assistant to the CEO)
Her main responsibilities include the day-to-day administrative management of the company that encompasses accounting and billing, ensuring follow-up with partners, as well as the coordination of internal process, such as HR, travel arrangements, and management of the budget.

Oliver Balogh (Partner)
Oliver Balogh is Partner at Blue Door Consulting.
As Partner, he is leading the business development efforts of the company, bringing in a wealth of experience in developing and managing business partnerships with relevant stakeholders in both Hungary and beyond. He undertook his studies in the US, inter alia, at George Washington University in Political Communication, which brings an additional layer of expertise in developing and implementing lobbying strategies.
On a day-to-day basis, he is managing the renovation and business development of the historic Corvin Palace building in the heart of Budapest.
